New Atomic Bomb to Reduce US Nuclear Arsenal by Type - NNSA
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — NNSA failed to establish policies regarding assigning responsibility, delegating authority and setting up expectations of competence for program managers, the report stated on Monday.

“We found that [the Department of Energy] and NNSA lacked policies regarding assigning responsibility, delegating authority, and establishing expectations of competence for program managers.”

The report also recommended that the US Secretary of Energy establish a training program for managers.

Addressing these deficiencies would help NNSA maintain a better cadre of professional and effective program managers, the report suggested.
