WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — At the closing bell on Tuesday, the Dow was up 67.18 points at 19,024.
The Dow has increased nearly four percent since Election Day and, according to the Wall Street Journal, is on track to post a stronger yearly performance than the S&P 500 for the first time since 2011.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 and Nasdaq Composite Index also closed at record levels. The S&P went up 0.22 percent, closing at 2,203 and the Nasdaq went up 0.33 percent to close at 5,386.
