Russian law-enforcement services repeatedly sent him warnings, but they didn't seem to have any effect on the dodger. The man didn't show up at the hearing of his case and was hiding from law-enforcement services for months.
The police later learned about the man's possible whereabouts and came to the village of Mordovo where he was supposedly living with his friend.
When the dodger spotted the police officers in the yard, he quickly went into the house and shut the door. The police had to wait for about an hour until the property owner came home and permitted them to enter the apartment.
It turned out that the man was hiding from the police under the sofa, but after a long wait apparently got tired and fell asleep. The officers heard snoring and found him sleeping on the floor behind the sofa in one of the rooms, according to the website of the Office of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) in the Tambov region.
The man was taken to the custody and sentenced to 100 hours of compulsory work.
