DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — According to Syria’s state-run SANA news agency, citing local sources, the airstrike hit civilian infrastructure in the town of Sheikh Naser, killing seven civilians, with 10 others wounded and residential buildings seriously damaged.

Turkey has been conducting the Euphrates Shield military operation in northern Syria since August 24. The declared goal of the operation is combating Islamic State jihadist group, outlawed in many countries including Russia.
The operation has been widely criticized both by the Syrian Kurds and Damascus accusing Ankara of violating Syria's territorial integrity.
