BEIJING (Sputnik) — Chinese President Xi Jinping is currently paying a working visit to Chile. During the visit, the Chinese leader has already met his Chilean counterpart Michelle Bachelet.
"The leaders of the two countries made an unanimous decision to promote the level of relations between the states up to comprehensive strategic partnership, to open a new page in the development of relation between China and Chile," the statement said.
The statement added that the two leaders had also agreed to make a contribution to develop cooperation to the benefit of both Santiago and Beijing.
