WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — General Dynamics will provide skilled personnel to perform repair work at the Naval Submarine Base in New London, Connecticut, in support of returning mission ready submarines to the fleet, the release said.
"General Dynamics Electric Boat [of] Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a $46.9 million… contract… to perform on-nuclear submarine repair work on Groton-based submarines under the New England Manpower Initiative (NEMMI)," the release said on Tuesday.
Work will be performed in the US state of Connecticut and is expected to be completed, the Defense Department added.
