KIEV (Sputnik) — Kiev voiced protest to the Russian side over an incident of the Ukrainian flag being burnt near the cultural center of Ukraine in Moscow and demanded an investigation into the incident, a statement on Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry website said on Wednesday.
"The [Ukrainian] Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed strong protest to the Russian side, demanding urgent criminal investigation and calling for the public court verdict for all involved in its commitment," the statement said.
On November 22, a group of unidentified individuals painted the wall of the Ukrainian cultural center and burned the country’s flag. They managed to flee the scene before police arrived. The law enforcement officials are investigating the incident.
