French Presidential Hopeful Accuses His Rival of 'Complacency' Toward Putin
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The statements of French presidential candidates regarding Russia correspond with Moscow’s intent to develop bilateral relations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.

"As far as the mentions in the pre-elections discussions in France, of intention to lead dialogue with our country, it of course corresponds with the intent in Moscow. Yes, we have serious disagreements, but they should not block the development of our relations in sectors where it is possible and needed. Presently, we cannot say that there has been a change in the tendencies with respect to acting European leaders," Peskov told reporters, commenting on the issue of dialogue with Russia.

He pointed out that the intent of acting authorities remained the more important.
