MINSK (Sputnik) – The document was signed as part of the consultations held in Warsaw on November 23-24.
“Signing a plan of military cooperation for 2017 between the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Poland is the main outcome of this event [consultations in Warsaw],” the statement read.
During the consultations the Belarusian delegation also held a meeting with Polish Deputy Minister of Defense Tomasz Szatkowski.
Poland joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in 1999. In July, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said that NATO was open for cooperation with Belarus.
