MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Trump repeatedly said during his presidential campaign that Washington should review its relationships with NATO allies which he insisted should pay more of the cost for having their security guaranteed by the United States.
"What the president-elect has said was that other NATO countries should be paying the right rate for support of the military alliance, and I have to say in that respect I think he’s quite right," Johnson told a press conference in Pakistan.
Johnson pointed out that the United Kingdom was the bloc’s second-biggest spender and was also calling on NATO members to pay more.
