MOSCOW (SPUTNIK) – Jill Stein, the Green Party's presidential nominee, managed to receive the recount costs for Wisconsin and has begun to raise money to pay for Michigan's and Pennsylvania's recount of election results, the Stein/Baraka Green Party Campaign said Thursday.
Stein launched an online fundraising page to gather donations to pay recount fees after a group of hackers had called on the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton to request recount in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania due to alleged fraud and hacks into voter and party databases.
"First recount funded. Two more to go!" the campaign said on its website, indicating that almost $2.6 million have been donated to date.

The campaign's website is currently raising money for the recount effort. In Wisconsin, filing for a recount will cost $1.1 million, and it has to be done by Friday. To request recount in Pennsylvania and Michigan the campaign will have to pay fees of $500,000 and $600,000 by November 28 and November 30, respectively.
US President-elect Donald Trump won in both Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, but the race in Michigan is still too close to call even though the election was more than two weeks ago.
Stein did not receive more than 1.5 percent of the vote in any of these states.
Clinton’s team has not backed the recount initiative so far. Clinton’s support is necessary to influence the elections’ results.
