MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The director of Russia's National Guard issued instructions on Friday to finalize the establishment of the agency's territorial system in 2017.
"Among the main tasks of 2017 is implementing measures of the second phase of the formation of the National Guard troops, completing the formation of their territorial system without reducing the troops' readiness for a guaranteed fulfillment of tasks," Director Viktor Zolotov told reporters.
He added that the National Guard, formed in April 2016, planned to intensify efforts to combat corruption and malfeasance.
