MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to Shuvalov, the agreement may be ratified in the first half of 2018.
"I can confirm that we have all the opportunities to conclude the agreement before the end of 2017 so that in the first half of 2018 we could use the time to ratify the procedures," Shuvalov said on Friday at the Russia-Singapore Inter-Governmental Commission.
He stressed that cooperation on the free trade issue with Singapore is important for Russia as Singapore is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The Eurasian Economic Union is a Russia-initiated regional political and economic bloc which aims to streamline the flow of goods and services between its members, namely Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
