Daesh arrived at the cemetery with bulldozers and desecrated the cemetery, leaving the upset localsunable to find their deceased friends and relatives.
"'The Commission for the Destruction of Tombs' has demolished the tombs of revered clerics, as well as the tombs of these people's relatives. The terrorists think that they are fighting idolatry," a local told Sputnik.
The local added that members of the Daesh terror group bury their own dead in mass graves, or simply throw their corpse onto the street.
On Thursday the Syrian army and allied militias reported the retaking of several farms on the outskirts of Harasta from Islamist terrorists.
"In the past 24 hours, our forces eliminated terrorists entrenched near Harasta, and took over several farms in its outskirts. The offensive is ongoing amid powerful fire support. Militants of the Jaysh al-Islam group are resisting fiercely," the source said.
