The interim UKIP leader defended Trump’s controversial pledges and statements made during the presidential campaign, adding that "he might have offended a few people, but since he’s been president-elect he’s speaking to the nation saying we must all come together."
On November 8, Trump managed to defeat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the US presidential elections, securing 290 electoral votes. Trump's inauguration will be held on January 20, 2017.
