MOSCOW (Sputnik) — One of the key projects in the Russian space industry is the construction of a super-heavy class rocket, which will make it possible to create a manned lunar base, the Russian deputy prime minister added.
"The Russian space industry has made a significant breakthrough in the creation of advanced technologies after overcoming a series of defeats, hurtful accidents and catastrophes and stabilizing issues of quality," Rogozin said at an award ceremony for the prizewinners of the open competition on prospective technologies for space equipment.
The open competition is organized by Russia’s space agency Roscosmos and the Foundation for Advanced Research (FPI).
