MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Nuttall, a UK member of the European Parliament, was elected UKIP leader by 62.2 percent of the votes.
"If UKIP ceases to be an electoral force then there will be no impetus on [UK Prime Minister] Theresa May and her government to give us real Brexit," Nuttall said.
On June 23, the United Kingdom voted on referendum to leave the European Union. UK Prime Minister said the country would trigger Article 50 by the end of March 2017, thus kick-starting withdrawal negotiations.
