MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia's state arms exporter expressed hope that Latin American states would be interested in the country's equipment designed for activities in conditions similar to the ones of the Arctic region, Rosoboronexport's press service said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Rosoboronexport's specialists express their hope for heightened interest of the representatives of the regional states' delegations to the production of Russian entities that could be used in [harsh climate-related] conditions of the Arctic," the statement said.
The 10th international naval and maritime exhibition EXPONAVAL 2016 is held in the Chilean region of Valparaiso on November 29 — December 2. The four-day event is sponsored by the Chilean Defense Ministry and is dedicated to the issues related to the naval defense and procurement of naval equipment.
