WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa is the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, which is in charge of hearings for Attorney General nominee, US Senator Jeff Sessions.
Grassley met with Sessions on Tuesday morning and said he hoped to hold hearings before Trump's inauguration as happened for the nominees of both George W. Bush and Barack Obama, Politico reported.
Grassley has sent Sessions a questionnaire that must be filled out and returned before the hearings are scheduled, and asked that it be sent back as quickly as possible.
