The suspect waited for the vehicle’s guards to go into a nearby building before snagging the 5-gallon bucket. The suspect is still at-large according to police. Surveillance footage showed the suspect disappearing from view as he snaked through a crowded sidewalk onto Sixth Avenue.
The truck is operated by Loomis International, an international transporter of valuables, according to the company’s website. It was en route to Ontario, police said.
