135-Year-Old Man Accidentally Found in Iran During National Census

During the recent national census in Iran a man aged 135 years was registered. He has been recognized as the oldest person in the country and second oldest in the world.

According to Press TV, a man from the city of Saqqez in the province of Kurdistan was born in February 1882.

His name is Ahmad Soufi and his family describes him as a kind, friendly, always ready to come to everyone’s help person.

​Soufi seems healthy and does not show any signs of disease. He doesn’t have his own children but has 4 adopted ones.

​Before the discovery of Soufi, the oldest man in the country was a 130-year-old from the city of Kamyaran.

​The general census of the population in Iran began on September 24. It is held every five years.  According to the census of 2011, there are 75 million people residing in the country.
