VIENNA (Sputnik) — Venezuelan Oil and Mining Affairs Minister Eulogio del Pino said Wednesday he discussed an anticipated agreement to stabilize the oil market with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
"[We discussed] the agreement," del Pino told RIA Novosti on his arrival for the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) meeting in Vienna when asked about a topic of discussion with Novak in Moscow on Tuesday.
OPEC member states reached a preliminary agreement in September, setting the oil output ceiling at 32.5-33 million barrels a day. A number of non-OPEC members, including Russia, have expressed willingness to join the deal.
The final decision on the deal will be made on Wednesday in Vienna.
