UN, US Fail to Offer Humanitarian Aid to 90,000 Freed Aleppo Citizens
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Later in the day, the UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on the humanitarian situation in the Syrian city of Aleppo, at France’s request.

"The United Kingdom has been working with France to bring forward an emergency discussion on this issue [Aleppo] at the UN Security Council that will take place later today. We want to see a cessation of hostiles, we want to see an opportunity for humanitarian aid to have access to Aleppo and we will be pressing for that at the Security Council," May said speaking at UK parliament.

She described situation in Syria as "appalling."

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the United Nations have not yet offered humanitarian relief to 90,000 Aleppo citizens, liberated from militants two days ago.
