German Officials Warn of Russian Cyberattacks Despite Lack of Evidence
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Wednesday, six Democrats on the committee sent a letter urging Obama to disclose information about alleged Russian involvement in cyberattacks on US election systems.

"I don’t have a sense what the status is of responding to that letter," Earnest told reporters. "If there are additional details that these members would like to have declassified then I am confident we will take a look at it."

The US senators said in the letter they would convey the details they want Obama to make public through classified channels.

Russia has denied frequent claims by US intelligence agencies that it tried to meddle in the US political system, with President Vladimir Putin calling the allegations an attempt to distract American voters from domestic issues.
