PARIS (Sputnik) — A five-year presidential term of Francois Hollande is ending up with political mess and this prevents him from seeking reelection, France's former Prime Minister Francois Fillon, who won primaries in The Republicans Party, said Thursday.
"Today the French president has clearly recognized his obvious failure, which does snot allow him to move further. This five-year term of his duties is ending up with political chaos and failure of power. More than ever, the recovery of France needs a strong basis — the truth… and prompt actions," Fillon wrote on his Facebook page.
French President Francois Hollande said on Thursday that we would not take part in 2017 presidential elections.
The French presidential election is scheduled for April and May 2017.
