Putin Discussed With Russian Security Council Syria, Federal Assembly Address

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed on Thursday with permanent members of the Russian Security Council the implementations of provisions he outlined in his state-of-the-nation address earlier in the day, as well as the situation in Syria, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

"A discussion of a whole range of issues related to implementation of main provisions of the president’s address to the Federal Assembly took place … The Syrian topic with an emphasis on the situation in Aleppo was made," Peskov told reporters.

He added that the need for continuation of provision of humanitarian aid for civilians of eastern Aleppo was noted.
