MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday he hopes for stabilization of political processes in Abkhazia, otherwise it could complicate bilateral economic cooperation.
"We see difficult events are taking place in Abkhazia… This is a normal phenomenon for any society, any country. But we hope very much that the situation will be under control, will stay within the legal framework," Putin said at a meeting with Abkhazian President Raul Khadzhimba.
"Otherwise, it is rather hard to implement our plans for economic interaction," the Russian leader said.
