"It has not been easy for us in the last few years, but these trials have made us stronger,… they helped us better determine, pinpoint the areas where we have to act more persistently and actively," Putin said in his annual address to the Russian parliament.
Russia is committed to building a stable system of international relations in the 21st century, but the decades after the end of the Cold War were "lost in vain," Vladimir Putin added.
“[We are] committed to the friendly, equal dialogue, to upholding the principles of justice and mutual respect in international affairs, [we are] ready to the serious conversation on building a stable system of international relations of the 21st century. Unfortunately, in this context, the decades that passed after the end of the Cold War were lost in vain,” Putin said in a Federal Assembly address.
