Ankara to Continue Policy on Syria Coinciding With Russia’s Stance
09:44 GMT 01.12.2016 (Updated: 09:56 GMT 01.12.2016) Ankara will continue its policy on Syria, which coincides with Russia’s position though it holds Syrian President Bashar Assad responsible for murders, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Thursday.
ALANYA (Sputnik) – Cavusoglu added that Turkey hopes that the cooperation with Russia will bring positive results that will contribute to the settlement of the Syria crisis.

"I hope that our common struggle and efforts will yield positive results [in Syria]," Cavusoglu said after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

According to the official, the presidents of Russia and Turkey,
Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, maintain regular contact.
"I think that this will allow us to broaden and deepen our relationship."
He also reminded the Turkey's position on the situation in Syria.
“Our country openly says that Assad bears responsibility for murder of a large number of people in Syria, innocent citizens of this country. But we will continue the policy which is in harmony and coincides with Russia’s position on searching for a political solution to the conflict and delivering regular humanitarian aid to Syria’s people,” Cavusoglu said after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
