MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Iran is ready to promptly provide military and financial assistance, as well as deliver humanitarian aid to the Syrian city of Aleppo in joint humanitarian operation with Russia, Hossein Sheikholeslam, the adviser to the Iranian foreign minister, told Sputnik.
"We are fully ready for this joint humanitarian operation with Russia, we shall use all of our resources that we have on the frontline, military and financial," Sheikholeslam said.
According to the official, Iran is also ready to deploy doctors and deliver water, food, medicines and warm clothes.
"Iran and Russia need in cooperation with the Syrian government to take all necessary measures as soon as possible," he said.
It is time for Russia and Iran to fight back against the information warfare led by western and some Arabic media outlets regarding the situation in Syria, Hossein Sheikholeslam told Sputnik.
"Even now, when the army of [Syrian President] Bashar Assad with support of its allies managed to achieve significant success and liberate large territories, it is high time for Iran and Russia to fight back with their joint operations against the tactics of information warfare led by western and some Arabic media, falsely accusing us of inaction and unwillingness to provide humanitarian aid to Syrian civilians," Sheikholeslam said.
