MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Roscosmos confirmed on Thursday the loss of the Progress MS-04 cargo spacecraft after a faulty launch from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan.
"Partners in the ISS project have expressed their full readiness to provide assistance using their own delivery vehicles to supply [the orbital station] will all necessary equipment, as it is our mutual program," Sergei Krikalev, Roscosmos executive director for manned space flights, told reporters.
The Progress space freighter was carrying more than 2.6 metric tons of food, fuel, and supplies for the Expedition 50 crew aboard the ISS.
