MOSCOW (Sputnik) — When asked by RIA Novosti about the date when the convoy would be sent, Artamonov said "on December 22."
Artamonov added that the convoy would comprise food, medicine, New Year gifts and other aid products.
Ukraine’s southeastern regions have been severely affected by Kiev’s military operation, launched in April 2014. The operation was a response to local residents' refusal to recognize the new coup-installed government in the country.
Russia has sent over 65,000 tonnes of life-saving humanitarian aid to Donbass since August 2014.
Earlier this month, Artamonov said earlier that Russia would continue providing monthly humanitarian assistance to the region in 2017.
