MOSCOW (Sputnik) The court said that Article 10, which gives the country's interior minister the power to cancel protests ahead of their scheduled date, is against the constitution, Ahram Online news website reported.

The controversial protest law was issued in November 2013 amid a wave of protests. Various international rights groups repeatedly condemned the law. In June 2016, the Egyptian authorities announced possible amendments to the law.
