Swedish police have launched an operation to track down the gunmen behind the fatal shooting in a cafe in Stockholm that claimed two lives, local media reported Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The tragic incident took place in a coffee shop in the Rinkeby district late on Friday, the Aftonbladet newspaper reported, citing witnesses who saw four masked men leaving the scene in a white car with tinted windows.

"We have several theories regarding what may be behind [the shooting]," police spokesman Mats Eriksson was quoted as saying by the media outlet.

Two brothers were reportedly the victims of the shooting. The third person, who had received minor injuries, was taken to a hospital, the daily specified.
