Northrop Grumman Wins $190Mln Deal to Support Unmanned Aircraft Systems
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Denmark is one of 68 partner nations in the US-led Operation Inherent Resolve, which is working to push the Islamic State (IS) terror group out of Iraq and Syria. Denmark' contribution is about 400 soldiers and seven F-16 combat aircraft.

“The digital technology in the electronic countermeasure AN/ALQ-131 upgrade provides a significant leap in capability for electronic countermeasures, giving Royal Netherlands Air Force aviators a superior level of protection wherever their missions take them,” said Northrop Grumman’s vice president of programs, Robert Fleming.

Air-defense capabilities in hostile and unstable regions have grown rapidly in sophistication in recent years, presenting an increased threat to military aviation, the release added.
