MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday the Russian side saw no expediency in establishment of military blocks in the Asia-Pacific region.
"As regards military alliances, military blocs, our principled position is that security issues in the Asia-Pacific region should be resolved on a non-bloc basis, on a universal basis, when all regional countries feel that there are agreements reliably ensuring equal and undivided security for each of them," Lavrov said at a news conference with his Philippine counterpart Perfecto Yasay, Jr.
