WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On December 3, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow was ready to send experts to Geneva as soon as possible to agree with US colleagues on joint actions which will allow all militants without exception to leave eastern Aleppo, and allow non-interrupted humanitarian deliveries.
Lavrov said that US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday made proposals on how to move forward on the crisis in Aleppo that seem acceptable to Moscow.
“There was some discussion coming out of the meeting in Rome on Friday that there would be technical talks taking place this week, but we don’t have anything to confirm at this point,” Toner said on Monday.
