MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US President-elect Donald Trump holds the cards to make changes in the country’s tax policy, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham) Alexis Rodzianko told Sputnik.
"First of all, I expect him to make changes in the tax system, to simplify it, to reduce corporate tax rates, this is a very important step for the US economy, which must be made. I think he holds all cards to do this," Rodzianko said.
Trump repeatedly said during his election campaign that to maintain US production the government had to decrease tax rates from 35 percent to 15 percent, as well as to relax regulation.
Republican Trump secured a victory in the US presidential election on November 8 by receiving 290 electoral votes. His inauguration will be held on January 20, 2017.
