14:43 GMT 05.12.2016 (Updated: 14:44 GMT 05.12.2016) Whistleblowing website Wikileaks on Monday published a 57,934-email archive of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's son-in-law Berat Albayrak, who is also the country's energy minister.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The emails span over 16 years since April 2000 and consist of correspondence between Albayrak and Turkish elite.
The archive touches themes like Albayrak's involvement in Powertrans company which had been implicated in Daesh oil imports. It also shows attempts to control the Turkish press and social media in favor of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) party.
