MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia has done a great work on applying the Constitution norms on the entire territory of the country, he said.
"In early 2000s, as many remember, we made significant attempts, maybe not that visible from outside, but it was a great work aimed at uniform understanding and application of the Constitution norms on the entire territory of Russia. Well, this [was done] of course not for the Constitution to be subjected to erosion from any other side," Putin said at All-Russian Congress of Judges.
The IX All-Russian Congress of Judges is held on December 6-8 in Moscow. About 780 delegates from state and local courts are set to discuss acute problems of Russian juridical system and prospects for its development.
