MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The quake hit 11 miles off the town of Sigli in North Sumatra and was at the depth of 1.2 miles, the independent scientific agency said, adding damage could have been caused.
Indonesia is located in the so-called Ring of Fire quake zone where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.
