MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim could discuss Syrian issues during talks in Moscow on Tuesday, but the key topic of their talks will be preparation for top level contacts in 2017, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
"It cannot be ruled out that the [Syria] issue could be touched upon, but the key aim of the meeting is the course of preparation for the upcoming contacts at the top level between President Putin and [Turkish leader Tayyip] Erdogan, which are scheduled for next year," Peskov said.
