Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is holding talks with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Hamburg, Germany.

HAMBURG (Sputnik) — Earlier on Wednesday, Lavrov met with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Hamburg.

Lavrov and Steinmeier talked about the situation in Syria's Aleppo, also discussing the issue of Ukraine, a source in the German delegation told journalists.

Kerry Says Discussion With Lavrov on Syria's Aleppo Will Continue Thursday

The ministers also covered key security issues, and talked about economic cooperation within the OSCE framework, according to the source.

Earlier on Wednesday, Lavrov met with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Hamburg.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that Lavrov and Kerry were continuing cooperation on the Syrian settlement at the expert level, but no new information on the settlement proposals was available.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Ministerial Council meeting will take place in Hamburg on December 8-9.
