BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — Grushko told reporters that the meeting "may take place or may not," when asked whether it was possible by the end of December.
The envoy added that the Russia-NATO council was set up for particular purposes, as a forum for political dialogue.
"But this dialogue must be aimed to… reveal common challenges and threats and make decisions when it is necessary on coordinated or joint actions," Grushko said.
"Maybe there is a plan to convene some meeting but it would require a joint decision. So far, there is no joint decision, but the consultations continue," he added.
