TOKYO (Sputnik) – Issues of regional security, including North Korea’s nuclear program, will be discussed during the meetings, the newspaper said on Thursday, citing government sources.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to arrive in Japan on December 15-16, where he will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for talks on the strategy to revive bilateral relations.
According to Sankei Shimbun, Abe does not plan to limit cooperation with Russia to the economic sphere and will likely seek to strengthen ties with Moscow in the sphere of security.
