PORTLAND (Sputnik) – The cancellation came an hour after the watch had been issued for all four Hawaiian islands, once the center determined there was no threat of a tsunami.
The quake that prompted the watch was centered 42 miles southwest of Kirakira, Solomon Islands at a depth of 30 miles.
