MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Boubaker Hakim, the French-Tunisian Daesh operative, was targeted on November 26, the CNN broadcaster said. However, it is still unclear, whether the jihadist was killed.
According to the broadcaster, Hakim had links to the Tunisian cell suspected of organizing the Sousse attack.
On June 26, 2015, a gunman, later identified as a 23-year-old local resident, walked down a beach in the northeastern Tunisia’s resort town of Sousse and killed 38 foreign tourists with an automatic rifle.
Daesh, a terror group, outlawed in many countries worldwide, including in Russia and in the United States, have carried out another attack in the country, in March, killing 22 and injuring more than 47 people at the National Bardo Museum.
