Poland Hopes for Restoration of Dialogue With Russia – Ambassador
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Polish authorities have no grounds yet to be concerned over the recent victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election, Polish Ambassador to Russia Wlodzimierz Marciniak told Sputnik in an interview.

"Of course, several politicians have said that they have been shocked by Trump's election, but I think that there is nothing strange in the situation, when one of the candidates has won the election. We should wait until Mr. Trump assumes office, starts to shep his policy and we will look at his real actions in the sphere of foreign policy. In my opinion, there are no grounds to speak about any special concern of Poland," Marciniak said.

On November 8, the Republican Party's Trump managed to come ahead of his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the US presidential elections, securing 306 electoral votes despite most of the analysts and opinion polls predicting his defeat. Trump's inauguration will be held on January 20, 2017.
