WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Raytheon will provide repair support for 10 weapon replaceable assemblies of AN/ALR-67(V) radar warning receivers for F/A-18 jets, according to the release.
The contract spans four years and has a one one-year option period, which if exercised, brings its total estimated value to $128.1 million, the release noted.
The Boeing, formerly McDonnell-Douglas F-18 has been the main combat aircraft of the US Navy’s carrier fleet for more than 35 years and is scheduled to be replaced by the troubled Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Aircraft.
