TOKYO (Sputnik) — Tokyo and Moscow are planning to announce the decision to ease the bilateral visa regime during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Japan next week, Japanese Foreign Ministry Press Secretary Yasuhisa Kawamura said Saturday.
"I can confirm that Japan and Russia, as expected, will announce a mutual easing of visa regime at the summit next week," Kawamura told RIA Novosti.
According to the press secretary, these measures will not just cover some specific regions.
"Easing of visa regime will be effective for the country in general," Kawamura added.
